For some couples the love never dies. They experienced all kinds of problems which neither of them handled very well. It was not through lack of effort but more so a lack of understanding how to fix it together.
So after awhile you and your ex call it quits. But no matter how many dates you go out on to meet someone new those strong feelings you have for your ex will not go away.
It is perfectly understandable that you want your ex back. However to make it a reality there are a few things to remember.
1. Avoid The Exam
This has nothing to do with analyzing what went wrong between you and your ex. You should be figuring out what mistakes were made and how to avoid them once the two of you get back together.
The point is not to go overboard with it. That means do not examine yourself relentlessly and to the extreme. If you do you will come to discover a basic fact. You have flaws. We all do but there is no reason to sit around dwelling on them. If you do you may reach the conclusion that you are not good enough to get your ex back which is not even close to the truth.
And that goes for your ex. You start to examine their strengths and weaknesses and convince yourself that if they will come back then you will be more than happy to fix their imperfections. Not a good idea and this is why extreme examination does not work.
2. The Hostility
Yes you love your ex and still have those feelings for them but that does not mean you do not harbor some resentment. It could be the fact that they ended the relationship or after the relationship was over you heard or saw that they were dating someone else.
Let it go. In the first place they had their reasons for ending the relationship. You don’t have to agree but you should respect their decision. Secondly they are free to date who they want after the relationship is over. What you had with them was a partnership not ownership. Therefore do your best to remove anger from the equation. It is a major obstacle when it comes to getting your ex back.
